This story has really affected me. I've been thinking about it lately, and the current situation of human society in general. As a physician I hopefully will not feel as helpless as I do now. I remember a time when I was driving home from a movie with Steph and a man had just crashed him motorcycle. His clothes were torn and scattered. He had soiled himself. And the road was covered in blood and oil. I felt so helpless. I wanted to help somehow but I knew that realistically there was nothing I could do. This is one of the reasons I want to pursue a career in medicine. I hate feeling helpless.

Maybe if someone had been there for this homeless man things would have ended different...
